From the start ( 2014 ish ) I’ve been absolutely captivated by event photography . . It’s only ever been about the image . . Catching the heart and soul of the party, or event I’m at, and sharing back what it felt like to be there, right in the middle of the moment . . From parties with friends, to parties in clubs with friends it’s fair to say I became addicted to the hedonistic lifestyle that came with it . . I needed more . . I sought it out . .
In 2015 I met the guys from illuminaughty, and shot my first large club event, at Bowlers, in Manchester . . An incredible night, that changed my life’s direction . . In 2016 I was invited to shoot their stage at Boomtown Fair, and a whole new world of creative opportunities opened up . . For the next two years I immersed myself in the UK’s burgeoning Festival scene, meeting ever more creative people, developing my skills with a camera and having an absolute ball along the way . . Always working hard to create the most captivating images and share them back . .
In 2017, quite by accident, I met the Hacienda Crew, and was invited to shoot my first Hacienda Classical . . I’ve worked/created with them ever since . . I’m very humbly able to say I’m now the in house photographer for all things Hacienda . . Through this connection, I met Peter Hook, and have worked with him on both Joy Division, and Peter Hook and the light shows . . It’s all been a bit surreal, and long may it continue to be so . . It’s always about the journey
I’ve always been truly humbled by the incredibly creative people I’ve met along the way . . By their achievements . . Inspired by their ‘let’s just do this’ attitude and the amazingly high standards they work to . . People like these inspire you to believe that you can realise your creative dreams . . Make your vision a reality . . That the only thing standing in your way is how you see yourself . . That you can achieve almost anything with an open and useful mindset
